What’s Next for AUM+ — An Expanded Leadership Team

By Anna Fink, CEO

Earlier this year, we launched AUM+ with a clear conviction: capital should serve democracy, democracy should serve working people, and movements should have the institutional strength to create lasting change. Where “assets under management” captures wealth for the few, assets under movement deploys capital to create lasting change for working people.

None of that work happens without the clients who are already doing it. Every day, our clients are organizing, building power, and making the case for the world we’re trying to build. AUM+ exists to be in service of that work: to give it the institutional backing, the capital, and the infrastructure it needs to move at the scale democracy now demands.

The reception to our launch from clients, partners, and movement leaders alike has been deeply energizing, and it’s a reminder of who this is really for. Despite a shifting landscape and increased attacks on our sector, our clients keep showing up, and AUM+ is moving capital alongside them with urgency, ambition, and rigor.

To meet it, I’m excited to share an expansion of our leadership team.

Nicole Boucher joins AUM+ as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of External Affairs. Nicole will lead the function that connects AUM+ to the world: partners, investors, donors, the field, and the public narrative. Across more than two decades launching grantmaking institutions, donor networks and leading strategy for organizations including The Just Trust, Way to Win, and the California Donor Table, Nicole has built and scaled strategies that strengthen movements and advance lasting power for working people.

Erin Gleason continues as Chief Operating Officer and takes on the new role of Executive Vice President of Internal Affairs. Since the founding of the organization, Erin has built an operation grounded in excellence, precision, and a people-first, leaderful culture, and her expanded leadership role will focus on scaling that model across the enterprise.

Nicole and Erin are part of a leadership team that has been building this work from the ground up: Wendy Turman, Chief Financial Officer; Aswathi Zachariah, Chief Legal Officer; Soma Sharan, Senior Director of Growth & Impact; and Beth Barefoot, Senior Director of People & Culture. Together, they lead an exceptional staff and set of teams who work every day in service of the partners and clients doing incredible work in the field.

We look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen the AUM+ in service of expanding capital for working people and democracy.
